Flute x OGR

Supplier member of Order of the Golden Rule

For families, walking into a funeral home has nothing to do with transactions. It's the loss they're still trying to process, the arrangements that need to be made, and the trust they've placed in you to handle it all with care.

Flute was built for funeral professionals: secure, reliable, and designed to disappear, so the support you provide is never interrupted by the payment.

Why funeral directors choose Flute. With Flute, payments fade into the background, so families can focus on what they came to you for.

Understanding your processing statement

Processing statements can change over time. Some processors introduce new or updated fees that show up as additional line items on merchant statements. These changes aren't always clearly communicated and can be easy to overlook.

Flute offers free statement reviews to help members:

  • Understand their current fees.

  • Identify changes that have been added over time.

  • Get straightforward answers to billing questions.

No obligation — the goal is transparency.

FAQ

Do you specialize in payment processing for funeral homes?
Yes. Flute supports funeral and death care services with high-ticket invoices, split-payment options, at-need and pre-need billing, and the paperwork your state board expects. We work with national and state associations, including CFDA, NFDA, ICCFA, and WFDA.
Can families split the cost of services across multiple payers?
Yes. Multiple family members can each cover a portion of the same invoice, on their own card or account. You’ll have a consolidated record while they get individual receipts.
How does Zero Fee work?
Zero Fee is Flute’s umbrella program for offsetting card-processing costs. Eligibility and specifics depend on your state and your mix of card, ACH, and check payments. Your Flute specialist will explain what’s best for your business during your 10-minute intro call.
What payment methods and hardware do you support?
Flute supports credit and debit cards, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and both in-person and remote invoicing. Hardware options include countertop terminals, customer-facing touchscreens, and mobile readers for off-site services. All devices are EMV-chip, contactless, and PCI-compliant.
Can we send payment links instead of taking cards over the phone?
Yes. Send a branded payment link by email or text, or share a QR code in the arrangement room. Families pay on their own device. You’ll receive a confirmation, and the funds will settle with your next payout.
What does it take to switch from our current processor?
Less than you’d think. Your specialist will handle the account setup, hardware swap, and any data migration. Most funeral homes keep their existing workflows when they switch to Flute.
